April has finally arrived and Spring is in full swing! This week, it was all about events and parties in the big cities: NYC, LA, London and Vegas. Stars showcased their personal style from fun and flirty looks to all-denim ensembles.Check out some of this week’s hottest looks:A woman should always have a pair of statement-making shoes in her arsenal and a few rocked some this week including Jameela Jamil in Topshop, Naomi Campbell in Christian Louboutin and Jessica Alba in Salvatore Ferragamo. An all-black look never fails and Zoe Kravitz, Iman and Kerry Washington wore the neutral color palette in very different ways. Megan Wollover (Tracy Morgan’s fiancée) and Naturi Naughton both went glam in form-fitting sequin dresses. A few of the ladies went for brights and prints including Nicole Richie in a look from her own Winter Kate Fall 2012 collection, Tracey Heggins in red and Aubrey O’Day in pink. Last, but not least were those who kept it casual and cool from Jay-Z and Tyra Banks in all-denim to Aisha Tyler who kept it neutral.Who had your favorite looks this week?

• Get out your tissues, gals, Page Six reports that Tyra Banks has fired America’s Next Top Model’s beloved judges, Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel, and Miss J. Alexander. Word is Miss Tyra wants to revamp the entire show and add a social media slant (and has been reaching out to popular bloggers like Bryan Boy to fill the open spots). Now, I love ANTM, and will probably still watch, but why oh why would Tyra take away the beautiful, bald, ever-sexy Nigel Barker from us? Something about that just doesn’t seem fair! I’m not sure if I’m on board with these changes. But to make up for the loss of Nigel & the gang, I happen to know a couple stellar bloggers that would love to step in as judges on the show. (Page Six) • MAC cosmetics will launch a limited edition collection with none other than Carine Roitfeld. The collection will be an ode to Roitfeld’s signature look: a bold eye, brow, and nude lip. The range is expected out this fall. Will you be buying? (WWD)• Bravo is working on a new reality show focusing on male models, with the working title The Untitled Male Model Project. The show’s premise is “Some of the most successful men in the world of male modeling try to make the most of this extremely high paying profession with a very short shelf life.” All I know is a male modeling competition means lots of shirtless guys, so I was sold once I heard “male model.” (The Cut)• Guys, Rihanna is sick of you saying she can’t dance to save her life. The singer released a behind-the-scenes look at her upcoming “Where Have You Been” music video, where she is doing actual choreography that doesn’t include grabbing her crotch. I’ve been writing for my life whilst in London, covering a slew of shows for Vogue.it!Check out my latest:Jean Pierre Braganza:An excerpt: “Jean Pierre Braganza added a modern twist to Victorian inspired garments, clinging to conservatism while adding contemporary details like emboldened shoulders and bustling hems. A high neck blazer in alluring lilac came equipped with an asymmetrical zip; a mock neck shift was uplifted by an explosive print, placed, like a portrait, on the bodice; an A-line skirt fashioned out of copious fabric had a slight asymmetrical hem, which trailed, like a bustle, in the back.”Read the rest here.Basso & Brooke:An excerpt: “An explosion of mixed prints set the tone for Basso & Brooke, a house already known for its psychedelic patterns and bold use of color. For Fall 2012, customers can anticipate bold pairings: geometrically patterned button downs anchored by checked trousers as well as artistic slouchy sweaters worn with contrasting A-line skirts.”Read the rest here.Todd Lynn:An excerpt: “For Fall 2012, Todd Lynn looked to the work of artist Odd Nerdun, a painter who recontextualised and modernized classic pieces to present his own particular world view. In a similar vein, Lynn archored his foray with traditional ensembles: suits, sleeveless vests, and coats–but offered his own revisionist take. Black suit jackets had hanging lapels, high collar coats boasted flute sleeves, and orange shifts were decorated with leather seams.”Read the rest here.Temperley London:An excerpt: “Alice Temperley titled her Fall 2012 collection “Renaissance,” and celebrated the opulence of the period by mixing textures and having fun with heavy handed embellishments. Delicious florals opened up the showing, and worked its way into the DNA of the collection with blouses accented by gold sequined pleated skirts and silk satin dresses topped with large fur hats. Rich fabrics like pointelle knits with foil prints, floral emboidery on dot tulle, and gold lame edged in velvet were fashioned into supremely feminine mid thigh skimming frocks with trumpet skirts.”Read the rest here.Kinder Aggugni:An excerpt: “A playful dose of whimsy was on tap for Kinder Aggugni’s Fall 2012 collection, which featured a helpful serving of prints cast in periwinkle, duck egg blue, kelly green, and spots of gold. Patterns inspired by 18th century wallpaper mixed and matched on buttoned down shirts and A-line miniskirts, or appeared solo on silk jumpers anchored by weighty, gold embellished flat leather shoes. “Read the rest here.Vogue it, like it, love it, and stay tuned for more from London Fashion Week!Follow me on twitter for the blow-by-blow.

Indie designer Shavonne Deann sent over images from her Fall/Winter 2011 collection, titled The Color Wheel:Diverging from her typical form fitting silhouettes, Deann proposes slouchy pants, loose sweaters, and easy dresses cast in a series of rich autumn colors:Though I’d probably pass on the roomy trousers, I’d definitely fall in line with the single striped pencil skirt or the gold and navy dress with cut outs.Hot!What do you think of the latest from Shavonne?See more and purchase at www.shavonnedeann.bigcartel.com.
