Since some of the best updo looks are a little messy, you can be a beauty school dropout and still have hot holiday hair. Take a look at the gallery below for some ideas.Want to see more natural hair updos? Hair pins (or the Spin Pin for curly hair). Grab a set that closely matches the color of your tresses to keep your twists, buns, and knots neatly in place. Add more festivity to your look with decorative hair pins and headbands.2. Dr. Miracle’s Edge Holding Gel. Keep your edges in check with this medium hold pomade, but still be able to comb through the hair without pesky flaking.3. Fake it ’til you make it. Back in the day sponge rollers were tucked inside updos to give the appearance of fullness. Nowadays you buy a few clip-in extensions and bun attachments to take your hair to higher levels.4. Motions Light Hold Working Spritz. While there’s a general “the messier the better” rule of thumb when it comes to modern updos, you might have areas you want to stay put but you don’t want a hair helmet. Spritz a little Motions Light Hold Working Spritz where you need a little hold but still have hair that moves.More Hot Tools… Stay tuned for more holiday hair ideas!

We already asked you who wore Rag & Bone’s Yellow Tuxedo Crepe Blazer in a toe-to-toe between Kim Kardashian and Beyonce. Now it’s time to throw Rocsi Diaz in the mix!The 106 & Park host was the latest to wear the $495 jacket, pairing the piece with a Zara t-shirt, $495 R13 Mid Rise Leather Shorts, and YSL heels. Kim also went the black and white route, wearing hers with a leather pleated dress, while Beyonce was undisputedly the most casual in jeans, a t-shirt, and Christian Louboutin Daf pumps. The yellow crepe jacket has a shawl collar, button-fastening cuffs, front welt pockets, and a concealed hook fastening in front.Though Beyonce won our initial who wore it better in a landslide, nabbing 80% of your votes, I think she may have a little competition with Ms. Diaz. The jacket looks best with casual ensembles, and Rocsi’s look is edgy, yet comfortable and cute. What do you think? If you can’t decide, get the jacket here. • Wednesday night, between the hours of 4 and 6AM London time, Kanye West went on an epic (and barely understandable) twitter rant outlining his career in fashion, and announcing his new business venture, DONDA, a design company with the purpose of  bringing creative people together to… do something. Yeezy also mentioned an idea for an alternative summer school he and Spike Jonze have been bouncing around. Still confused? Check Kanye’s twitter page to see if you can decipher any of it. (Kanye West Twitter)• American Apparel‘s financial woes (and the supremely skeevy antics of its CEO Dov Charney) have been well-documented. But since December, the retailer has seen a 15% increase in sales, thanks in part to a deal they struck up with Groupon, which helped the store move over 150,000 units. Charney says the company is “getting our groove back a bit,” which is good news especially with the $47.6 million dollar debt to Bank of America swinging over their heads. Good luck with that. (WWD)• Vogue Italia’s cover editorial pays homage to televised shopping channels HSN and QVC, but with a high fashion twist. If you ever wondered what it would be like if QVC sold duds from Louis Vuitton‘s and Balenciaga‘s Spring 2012 collections, this editorial is the closest you’ll get. Check out this video of the models doing a pretty spot-on imitation of these televised flash sales. A definite must see! (Fashin, Fashionista)• The Los Angeles Philharmonic is tapping the talents of Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy to design the costumes for their May production of “Don Giovanni.” (WWD)• It seems the five looks Donatella Versace initally presented was a Pre-Pre-Fall collection of sorts. The design house has re-shot the first five pieces they released so they don’t look so boring, and added nine new looks to round out the collection. Thank goodness! I’m a little bit more excited about these offerings than I first was. Check it out! (NYMag)• Prabal Gurung took to Twitter last night to show the admittedly underwhelming T-shirts they’re offering for spring 2012. I love Prabal, but as these t-shirts are bound to sell for a couple hundred dollars, I think I’d want a little more oomph, yes? (Prabal Gurung Twitter)~Jihan

Happy Thursday!Today’s Bombshell is cute Cortnie from Maryland:She says, “My style may sound a bit cliche, but it’s definitely casual chic.”” I like to add a fun pair of heels or standout accessory…”“… to make my look less casual.”” I love a ‘big on the top, fitted on the bottom’ type of silhouette in cooler temps,”” but once it’s warm I’m all about skirts and dresses.”No complaints here! I like all your looks, particularly the sweater dress with polka dot tights. See more of Cortnie’s style at www.stylelustpages.com.What do you think?
