Today’s Bombshell is Marlene from NYC:She says, “I [split my time between] NYC and Miami.”” I consider my style to be sophisticated glam with a hint of taboo chic.”” At first, people have a misconception that I’m bougie based on my appearance.”“…But once you get to know me, you’ll find my personality is as bright as the colors I wear.”” I try to encourage my fellow plus size sisters to love and accept who they are…we all are beautiful. Know that true and lasting self confidence grows naturally when you become comfortable in your own skin.”” I recently created a youtube channel www.youtube.com/SuperbFashionSense where I help remind my curvy divas that Fashion comes in all sizes….Don’t limit your style.”Absolutely fabulous! The stylish instances continued this week with TV appearances, cocktail parties, and galas.Let’s see how our faves showed up and showed out!I have a few faves…! Selita Ebanks was delightfully elegant in a feathered frock at the Princess Grace Awards Gala in New York. And though Nicole Richie appears slightly peeved at the paps, she looked super chic to pick up her daughter Harlow from ballet practice. If I had to choose a front runner, my money would be on socialite Genevieve Jones. I’m loving her red lip and her lovely lace Emilio Pucci ensemble.Who stood out for you?

Solange Knowles was spotted at the Tribeca Ball 2012. For the occasion, she went for a sheer printed shirt and high-waist pants with printed trim down the sides:She accessorized with a beaded collar necklace and continued the black and coral trend with coral eyeshadow and a coral lip.Solange loves mixed prints and she is rocking them here in a great way. Only thing I would change is the coral eyeshadow: I think the bright lip is enough. What do you think? Hot! or Hmm…?

• Plus sized ladies, rejoice! Mary Katrantzou is thinking of selling her cutting-edge prints in larger sizes. The designer told the Evening Standard that due to prompting from e-tailer Net-a-Porter, she is considering creating her pieces up to a size 16 . “Net-A-Porter asked us if we would go bigger [to a size 16],” she dished, “and we would – we had a discussion with them… I was looking at a size 14 woman wearing our dress and I thought, ‘I can’t believe we don’t go bigger than that size!’ because she looked tiny. Sometimes designers are blamed for not going to a size 16, but it’s not that: it’s that there isn’t demand [from buyers]. So I think if buyers were more brave to try it for a couple of seasons, they would sell more and designers would produce more.” It looks like Net-A-Porter has those brave buyers! (Fashionista)• Yoox.com is expanding. The beloved designer e-tailer is launching a new shoe site, Shoescribe.com. Look for it on March 7th. (WWD)• Got $2 million lying around that you can’t possibly spend on something worthwhile? Why not  use that money on a completely unnecessary solid gold Hermès bag? Jewelry designer Pierre Hardy has created four mini diamond-encrusted handbags for the brand, which can only be worn as bracelets, since larger versions would be more cumbersome than functional. I don’t know, an exorbitantly priced Hermès bag you can’t actually use? Sounds totally worth it! (Financial Times)• The Britain Creates Project is bringing some of the UK’s most noted designers (Mary Katrantzou, Giles Deacon, and Paul Smith, to name a few) together with some of the country’s most talented artists to create original pieces of artwork. The creations will be exhibited at Selfridges and The Victoria and Albert Museum to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics. (ELLE UK)• Ever wanted to raid Daphne Guinness‘s closet? Now you can– well, sort of.  The beer heiress is auctioning off 100 pieces from her  wardrobe this summer to benefit the charity she founded, The Isabella Blow Foundation. The auction will be held June 27 at Christie’s in London, and will feature pieces from designers like Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and Balenciaga. But if you can’t buy, you can always window shop! Christie’s will exhibit the pieces from June 23 ’til the auction date. (Vogue UK)• It’s March, so you should be getting your spring wardrobe together! Get a jumpstart on the season, and pre-order this Tina miniskirt from Boxing Kitten. The 100% cotton printed skirt ships March 15th, and comes in sizes XS-XL.~Jihan
